The electricity market has unanimously called for a ban on British Gas Business’s practice of using supplier switching notices to offer customers lower prices.
Eleven electricity suppliers, including npower, E.On and Scottish Power, were joined by the consumer champion, Energywatch, and the body representing energy sales agents, the UIA, in arguing that the practice should be banned because it reduced competition.
